Appointment of coadjutor ArchbishopNew
The Holy Father has appointed Bishop John Rodrigues as coadjutor archbishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Bombay, India, transferring him from the diocese of Poona.
Curriculum vitae
Archbishop-elect John Rodrigues was born on 21 August 1967 in Mumbai. He was ordained a priest on 18 April 1998 for the metropolitan archdiocese of Bombay. He was awarded a licentiate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome (2000-2002).
He was appointed titular bishop of Deulto and auxiliary bishop of Bombay on 15 May 2013, and received episcopal consecration the following 29 June.
He was transferred to the diocese of Poona on 25 March 2023.

Krist Kiran Parivar (KKP) is a Catholic Covenant Community and came into being in October 2000. It is a trans-parichial group approved Private Lay Association of the Faithful in the Diocese of Poona under Canon 322. KKP is also an underway member of the Sword of the Spirit (SOS), an International Association of Covenant Communities. At present there are over 90 such communities affiliated to the SOS. KKP at present has about 120 members - couples, singles, youth and children.
Vision and Mission: The mission of KKP is to be a “Community of Disciples on Mission”. Practically this means to strive with God’s grace to live as disciples of Jesus Christ amidst the challenges of the modern world, by supporting one another as brothers and sisters. KKP is committed to building strong marriages and family life as well as t serving the Church and the kingdome of God.
Spirituality: The Spirituality of KKP is Creedal and Orthodox, Scriptural and Christ-centered, Liturgical and Sacramental, Charismatic and Mission Oriented.
Meetings: Full Community Assembly Meeting - every 2nd & 4th Sunday. 5-7:30 pm at St. Clare’s School Hall.
Small Groups during the week between Assembly Meetings (Twice a month)
Joshua Generation (The working singles of KKP) Meetings - every 1st Saturday, 7 - 10 pm and an Adoration meeting on the 3rd Mondays, 8 - 10 pm (For details contact Mark Anthony - 9923800360)
